Judge Sharon Burney partners with the Precinct 7 Constable to provide free meals to families affected by government shutdowns and SNAP disruptions.
Sharon Burney is a life-long democrat and was elected by the people in 2018 with Black Girl Magic to serve as Justice of The Peace and re-elected by the people again in 2022 to continue to serve.
Judge Sharon Burney spearheaded the Eviction Prevention Program, a pilot initiative in Precinct 7 designed to help families avoid eviction before it happens.
Judge Sharon Burney honored the federal eviction moratorium during COVID-19 when families were at risk of losing their homes.
Sharon Burney co-created and administrated the Lighted Schoolhouse, a program for homeless and high risk youth. Also worked as a facilitator with Riverside General Hospital in the drug prevention program.
